ABOUT ME

I've always attempted to channel my imagination through creative outlets, even when my 'adult life' veered more towards work grounded in hard fact. In college, I majored in Biology, which I still attribute to my lifelong love of Ghostbusters-- as a kid, that movie made scientists seem cool, if a little weird. I enjoyed my science courses, but thanks to a liberal arts requirement, I was able to take classes in literature and sci-fi film studies to scratch my creative itch.
Following graduation, I went on to work in hospital labs, clinical trials, and yet more labs in a pharmaceutical setting where I handled infectious diseases to further vaccine science. I never stopped dreaming, even when my workplaces (understandably) discouraged creative thinking. In my downtime, I freelanced as a video game writer for small websites to keep putting words to paper. I have piles of 'exposure' horded away to fund my eventual retirement.

In 2019 I was able to focus my creativity and motivation to finish a first draft for a novel, and subsequently self-published it in 2021. It was quite a learning experience, but I had fun working through problems of my own creation. I am currently busy polishing and submitting my second full-length manuscript for traditional publishing.

I'm fortunate to live in the great state of Colorado with my wonderfully supportive wife Amy, 4.5 year old son, and 45 pound lapdog/foot warmer named Winnie.

As a bonus fun fact, my last name roughly translates to 'newsstand' or 'book store' in Italian. Unfortunately, I don't receive royalties for this coincidence.
